Serenity Armed With Evil

In me, love is as dead
as sex on a widow’s bed.

Love is clearly frozen out.
Definitely there’s no doubt.

Mercy no longer plies my way.
Darkness has arrested the day.

Hate boldly hums a solemn song
with her poisonous tongue.

Love’s obituary litters the street.
The consistent gnashing of teeth.

Serenity armed with evil;
evil that can never be civil.

No tears for my humbled heart.
She’s totally and tirelessly torn apart.

Apparently hardened by hate;
hate that can never abate.

No woman should move near;
the sting of hatred really rare.

I just want to be left alone
like a neglected dry bone.
